August 2026: Dr. Burak Özkan joined the lab as a postdoctoral fellow.

July 2026: Yini and Haley were invited to the Live Like Lou ALS Research Symposium.

May 2026: Yini was invited to the Target ALS Annual Meeting.

May 2026: The Live Like Lou ALS Foundation sponsored a lab outing to an Indianapolis Indians baseball game. Matt threw out the first pitch!!!

April 2026: Matt passed his prelim! Hooray!

March 2026: The Live Like Lou ALS Foundation visited the lab.

October 2025: Colleen Li joined the lab as an undergraduate researcher from the Department of Data Science.

October 2025: Yini's research, entitled "LINE1 RNA dysregulation impairs chromatin accessibility in C9ORF72- and TDP-43-linked ALS/FTD" is available as a preprint.

September 2025: Chang Liu joined the lab as a co-mentored PhD student from the Biology Department.

August 2025: Janelle Macler joined the lab as an undergraduate researcher from the Department of Biological Sciences.

June 2025: Yini's research on transposable element RNAs in ALS was highlighted by Target ALS (https://targetals.org/news/beyond-junk-dna-targeting-transposable-elements-in-als/).
